From mid-September through to early November, farms across the province transform into autumn playgrounds filled with wagon rides, pumpkin-spiced everything and patches bursting with gourds of every size.

Whether you’re after a big festival vibe, a classic family patch, or a quieter farm for a laid-back visit, there’s a spot for every type of fall adventure.
Northern Ontario
1.) Gammondale Farm

Nestled in the Slate River Valley just outside Thunder Bay, Gammondale Farm has been welcoming families for decades with its rolling fields and farmyard charm.
While their annual Pumpkinfest isn’t running this year, the farm still promises plenty of seasonal fun, think tractor-pulled wagon rides, barnyard mazes, farm animals, the famous Pumpkin Catapult and their almost signature caramel apples!
2.) Leisure Farms

A family-run farm with deep roots in Northern Ontario, Leisure Farms is known for its warm hospitality and wide-open fields. Opening their pumpkin patch September 27th, families can hop on wagon rides to the pumpkin patch and enjoy a variety of seasonal farm activities like touring the haunted barn, campfire picnics, straw mazes and so much more!
3.) Belluz Farms

Beginning September 27th, pick your own pumpkins at Belluz Farms during the farm’s “Fall Wonderland” weekends, complete with wagon rides and a farm store filled with seasonal treats, just be sure to snag your tickets before heading to the farm.
4.) Wagonwheel Ranch

5.) Saunders Farm

One of the most celebrated fall attractions in Eastern Ontario, Saunders Farm is known for its sprawling hedge mazes and lively seasonal programming. This fall, PumpkinFest opens September 20th with pumpkin picking, cozy treats and picture-perfect family moments. For those who like a scare, FrightFest is also back, running on select nights starting September 20th, offering haunted attractions, bone-chilling thrills and late-night fun.
Pro tip: check their 2025 calendar for peak nights or grab tickets to an off-peak evening for the same spooky experience with shorter lines.
6.) Cannamore Orchard

Set in the SDG Counties, Cannamore Orchard blends apple and pumpkin picking with one of the region’s best-known fall attractions. Families can enjoy wagon rides, farm games and a friendly atmosphere by day, but once September 26th rolls around, the farm transforms with their much loved Acres of Terror.
Running select nights until October 31st, the night version features a Spooky Wagon Ride, House of Terror, Spooky Village and Fog Maze. A toned-down daytime version starts after Thanksgiving, offering a kid-friendlier take, just be sure tickets are pre-booked online before making your way to the farm.
7.) Proulx Farm

Just minutes from Orléans and a short drive east of downtown Ottawa, Proulx Farm transforms into a giant Halloween playground each autumn. From September 20th to October 26th, their 31st annual Pumpkin Fest runs on weekends and Thanksgiving Monday, offering visitors lots to do with wagon rides, corn mazes, petting farm animals, giant play parks and face painting.
Families can pick their own pumpkins right from the patch, enjoy farm-fresh snacks or a picnic then head to the farm shop to stock up on local honey and jams. For extra value, Customer Appreciation Days on September 20th and 21st feature two-for-one admission, making it a perfect time to kick off pumpkin season.
8.) Cricklewood Farm

9.) Chappell Farms

A staple in Barrie, Chappell Farms runs its Fall Festival from September through October, drawing families from across the GTA. 10.) Rounds Ranch

11.) MacArthur’s Pumpkin Patch

Just outside of Lindsay, MacArthur’s Pumpkin Patch is a family-friendly destination offering a variety of activities with something for everyone to enjoy. Along with pumpkin picking, visitors can enjoy Giant Jenga, pumpkin bowling, pumpkin Tic Tac Toe, and access to the farm’s tractor play areas with hamster wheels, straw-bale climbing and more!

12.) Barrie Hill Farms

16.) Snyder’s Family Farm

A beloved family-run farm near Kitchener-Waterloo, Snyder’s is home to one of the largest pumpkin patches in the area. During the day, families can enjoy wagon rides and pumpkin picking, then after dark, enjoy a private campfire experience.
Looking for something on the scary side? The farm is also home to Fear Farm, a haunted attraction with multiple haunts, starting late September through Halloween 2025.
17.) Kustermans Adventure Farm
