Taste of Oakville 2026: Your Guide to Delicious Dining Experiences this Winter

Winter in Oakville is the perfect excuse to slow down! Maybe it’s the way Bronte’s waterfront looks when the air turns crisp, or how downtown Oakville glows when the streets are lined with twinkling lights. But this year, the town is offering locals and visitors even more reasons to bundle up and head out — because Taste of Oakville 2026 is back, and it’s bringing a whole new level of cozy culinary excitement with it.

This year’s Taste of Oakville is proudly supported by the Experience Ontario 2025 program, and from February 19 to March 15, more than 50 restaurants are serving up curated prix-fixe lunch and dinner menus, inviting you to settle in and savour the season. With new participating spots, cozy heated dining domes and the return of live Tunesdays, this year’s Taste of Oakville program is about more than a meal — it’s about the full experience surrounding it!

Now the only question is: where are you eating first? Let’s dig into what’s new this year.

New This Year: Heated Winter Dining Domes (Yes, Really)

If there’s one thing redefining Taste of Oakville in 2026, it’s the debut of the event’s first-ever winter dining domes.

This isn’t your average patio dinner.

These cozy, heated outdoor domes are designed for groups (perfect for date nights, birthdays and friend gatherings) and offer a private dining atmosphere that feels equal parts romantic and festive, like you’re dining inside your own little winter hideaway.

Two restaurants in particular are offering this unique experience:

The King’s Arms

Where:  323 Church St, Oakville, ON (View Map)

A beloved Oakville pub with a warm, classic vibe, The King’s Arms is leaning into the winter spirit with an experience that feels tailor-made for the season. Pair a hearty prix-fixe meal with the dome setting, and suddenly dinner becomes an event.

Whether you’re popping in for lunch or settling in for dinner, The King’s Arms delivers a delicious and satisfying bite. The menu is a crowd-pleaser, think rich French onion soup or a vibrant roasted beet and mango feta salad to start, followed by hearty favourites like a ribeye French dip with au jus, Baja fish tacos, or a crispy fried chicken sandwich with all the fixings. It’s the kind of meal that warms you up from the inside out.

Known for its stylish Italian-inspired approach, 7 Enoteca’s dining dome experience feels like stepping into a European winter evening — the kind where you linger over wine, share plates and forget it’s cold outside.

If you’re looking for the “wow” factor look no further than deliciously crafted dinner menu offering guests a choice to begin the meal with half a burrata with pistachio pesto and blood orange or a bold Carne Cruda with confit garlic and crostini. For mains, choose between delicate Halibut with fregola and beurre blanc, a perfectly cooked Striploin with pomme purée and salsa verde jus, or an earthy Maitake with Brussels sprouts and apricot purée before finishing the evening with classic Tiramisu.

Fresh Faces on the Taste Trail: New Participating Restaurants to Try

Oakville’s dining scene continues to evolve and this year’s Taste of Oakville lineup reflects that growth in the most delicious way.

If you’ve participated in Taste of Oakville before and want to try something new, keep your eyes on these newer participating spots that are bringing exciting flavour to the table:

The Mule

Bold, vibrant, and built for taco lovers, The Mule is the kind of place where the energy is always high and the menu is always calling your name. Expect big flavours, creative cocktails and an atmosphere that turns any meal into a celebration.

For Taste of Oakville, the restaurant offers guests the choice of a dip, taco and dessert — so you can kick things off with their fresh-made Guacamole topped with pepitas and pickled jalapeños, dive into the crowd-favourite Chimi Beef taco (their 2025 Taco Takedown Champion with seared steak and red pepper chimichurri) and finish sweet with a silky Chocolate Pot with dulce de leche. Big flavours, creative cocktails and a choose-your-own-taco adventure? If your winter is in need of a flavour upgrade, this is it!

Fresh, bright, and packed with Middle Eastern-inspired comfort,  is a perfect reminder that winter dining doesn’t have to be heavy. This is the kind of spot that makes you crave shared plates, warm spices and a table full of flavour.

For something fresh, vibrant and full of flavour, Tabule brings Middle Eastern comfort to Taste of Oakville. As a Feast On® certified restaurant, you can feel good knowing they’re committed to supporting Ontario’s food and drink producers. The dinner prix-fixe menu lets you start with bright, comforting options like lentil soup or a Beirut Fatush salad with fresh mint and pomegranate molasses, before choosing mains like juicy Tawuk chicken skewers, spiced Kefta Banadara, grilled Salmon Kebab, or a satisfying Eggplant Dinner drizzled in tahini and topped with pomegranate seeds. Be sure to save room for dessert,  enjoy a delicate Knafeh Ashta layered with custard and rose water syrup to pistachio-topped Chocolate Mousse, to end the meal.

Café de Madrid

Where: 137 Lakeshore Rd E, Oakville, ON (View Map)

For guests who love a cozy European-style dining experience, Café de Madrid brings that “little getaway” feeling right into Oakville. Whether you’re planning a casual lunch or a romantic evening out, it’s a great option for diners looking for something a little different.

The prix-fixe menu lets you begin with Sopa del Día soup or a fresh Ensalada de Jardín Fresca, followed by Spanish-inspired plates like golden Tequeños with roasted red pepper aioli, crispy Croquetas, or savoury Empanadillas. For mains, choose from flavourful dishes like Pollo Saltado, a crispy Bocadillo de Calamares, or Gambas Catalanas Flambeadas before finishing on a sweet note that makes the whole evening feel like a quick escape to Spain.

Let’s be honest — winter dining isn’t complete without dessert. Velvet Moo is one of the sweetest additions to the Taste of Oakville experience, offering a playful stop for anyone who believes a culinary adventure should always end with something indulgent.

The menu pairs savoury and indulgent beautifully, with mains like the crispy Chili Halloomoo Sandwich or the fresh, seed-crusted Super Seed Mix Halloomoo, followed by a comforting bowl of White Velvet Pudding made with warm Jersey milk or the rich Chocolate Velvet Pudding crafted from Velvet Moo chocolate. It’s cozy, playful and exactly the kind of indulgence winter calls for.

Tunesdays Are Back: Dinner With a Soundtrack

Dinner tastes better with live music, and Oakville agrees. Tunesdays returns this year with local musicians performing at select restaurants on Tuesday nights, turning a prix-fixe meal into a full night out. Think great food, a cozy dining room, and the kind of atmosphere that makes you want to linger a little longer.

And if you’re lingering anyway, why not make a weekend of it? The Holiday Inn & Suites Oakville @ Bronte and Staybridge Suites are offering special packages that include complimentary breakfast and a $100 voucher to Burger Theory, a participating Taste of Oakville restaurant. The Quality Inn is also joining in, offering 10% off their best available rate when you call and mention Taste of Oakville.
