Terroir Artisan Bakery is a chef-driven bakery based in Cambridge, Ontario, specializing in handcrafted sourdough bread and viennoiserie. Founded by Daniel Angus, a chef with over 16 years of experience in leading Canadian and international kitchens, Terroir is rooted in a commitment to local, biodynamic ingredients and traditional techniques. The bakery’s name reflects its core philosophy: respecting the land and showcasing Canadian seasonal ingredients.

Initially launched through farmers market pop-ups and wholesale partnerships, Terroir will open its flagship café and bakery at 215 Queen St. W in June 2025, offering a welcoming space for the community to gather over coffee, bread, and conversation. The bakery will also host workshops and collaborative dinners, creating space for education, connection, and celebration of local food culture.

Each loaf and pastry is a thoughtful expression of Ontario’s changing seasons, made with flour milled from regional grains and dairy sourced from nearby farms. Terroir’s approach is both deeply artisanal and community-focused, bridging the gap between farm and table.

Team Terroir uses social media to showcase new ideas, techniques and broadcast information. Be sure to follow along to stay current!
