KICK & PUSH BREWING CO.Kick & Push Brewing Co. is a Sharbot Lake–based brewery crafting great local beer in the heart of Frontenac County, contributing to the region’s growing food and drink scene.
Welcoming guests for almost two hundred years now, the Hotel Wolfe Island – located where the Great Lakes empty into the St. Lawrence River – has remained while much has changed. Two blocks from the Ferry Terminal in the village of Marysville and surrounded by generational farmland, the Hotel has welcomed and sustained mariners, loggers, foragers, & adventurers in the past. Now travellers and Islanders come to dine upon homemade food while listening to live music from around the globe.
Virtually everything served is made in-house, from the Frontenac Flatbread to luscious Sauces. We source ingredients as locally as possible constrained by availability and sometimes, honestly, by cost. Preparation and sourcing will always pit us – and our customers – against the logic of capitalism and actual global supply chains. Some of the beer is brewed locally, scented and preserved by Wolfe Island Hops, Some of the fish is from our shores. Much of the wine is from Prince Edward County and the Niagara Peninsula. A small farmer just west down the highway raises the chickens. We have gorgeous Back Forty Cheese from North Frontenac. The greens, produce, and summer fruit are still often from the Island itself. As they were 200 years ago.
